I prefer to keep things simple, so I basically have 3 types of sessions: the full session experience, the newborn session, and weddings. Most sessions fall into the first category, including but not limited to: engagement, maternity, family, birthday, etc.

FULL SESSION EXPERIENCE

We will start by discussing what it is you are wanting us to capture. I want to learn about you, your family, and what you guys enjoy. This will help us in the planning process. I will help you figure out locations as well as outfits if you think you need a little help. Once a session date is agreed upon, there is a $50 deposit due to officially reserve your date. Full session experiences typically last an hour and can include outfit changes if desired.

Once your session is complete, it takes approximately three weeks for your images to be ready. A copyright release gallery is sent via a private email link. Although the link is private, you are free to share the link with whomever…this especially comes in handy when relatives are anxious to see your images as well. The gallery is suitable for printing any quantity desired, and any size desired up to 8x10. Images larger than 8x10 must be ordered through photographer.

Total package is $275.

THE NEWBORN EXPERIENCE

For this package, I come to the clients' home with my camera, props, space heater (for those adorable nude photos), backdrop stand, etc. There are some situations where I will do the session in my studio...I have a white bed we use, a really big window, my walls are really light grey, everything is very neutral and light. So, sometimes clients will prefer to shoot here instead of their home (this has actually become what most clients choose due to the better lighting, and they don’t feel the need to worry about their home).

The session typically lasts anywhere from 1.5-3 hours, depending on the temperament of the baby, how often we have to stop for nursing, feeding, diaper changes, soothing, etc. Some families like to just focus on the newborns, while some like to split the session into two segments with time for just the newborns then time for family poses as well. This is completely up to you and what you would prefer. Once session is complete, images are proofed and edited. Then clients are given a copyright release CD with entire collection of edited images suitable for printing up to 8x10 (larger images must be ordered through photographer).

In order to reserve a date, there is a $50 deposit required. The deposit is non-refundable but may be put toward another session in case you need to cancel for an emergency. The deposit goes toward your $240 balance. The way I "reserve" newborn sessions is I pencil you in on your due date just so I have a tentative date for when baby will be here. Once baby arrives, you send a message within 48 hours for us to set up the session time. It's best to photograph them before they're 10 days old; they let us work with them best before they get old.
